The President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, has been in Moscow for talks with Dmitry Medvedev. The inevitible energy agreements were signed, including an agreement for Russia to help the South American country to develop its nuclear industry. Russia has also agreed to supply Ecuador with two Mi-171E military helicopters.

Marakov also announced that Russia has deployed advanced air defense systems on the border with North Korea and will press ahead in developing the beleaguered Bulava missile.
