With the Winter Olympics under way in Vancouver, the World Wildlife Fund is claiming that environmental concerns are going unheeded in the push to prepare Sochi to host the next Winter Games in 2014.

I am very pleased to announce the publication of my book Putin's Legacy: Russian Policy and the New Arms Race. The following is an extract from the introduction: the book can be ordered from Amazon.

The delay was not due to my being too busy, but was caused by the summit underway today and tomorrow in Pittsburgh. It was a circumstance beyond my control.
